Clayton and Englewood share a border, so for most Clayton families Happy Paws & Claws Veterinary Clinic is only a few minutes from home. We are a full-service animal clinic for dogs, cats, reptiles and other exotic pets, led by Dr. Angela Melton and Dr. Caity Walsh.

Many Clayton families come to us when they bring home a new puppy or kitten, and stay with us for life. Our appointments are longer than most, so there is time to cover vaccines, feeding, training questions and what to expect in the first year.

New Puppy or Kitten in Clayton?

The first few months set your pet up for a healthy life. Here is what a typical first-year plan includes:

• A first puppy or kitten exam to check growth, heart, eyes, ears and teeth.
• A vaccine series spaced a few weeks apart, with rabies when your pet is old enough.
• Parasite prevention and a stool check through our in-house lab.
• Microchipping, often done at a vaccine visit.
• A plan for spay or neuter when the timing is right.

A first puppy or kitten visit is $65, and every vaccine price is listed on our pricing page.
