A Vet near Vandalia That Takes Time with Your Pet
Happy Paws & Claws Veterinary Clinic is in Englewood, a short drive from Vandalia along I-70. We care for dogs, cats, reptiles and other exotic pets, and our appointments are longer than most, so your pet's visit is never rushed.
Vandalia pet owners often come to us for two things that need extra time and care: senior pets and dental health.
Senior Pet Care for Vandalia Dogs and Cats
As pets get older, small changes in weight, appetite, mobility or behavior can be the first sign of a problem. Our senior pet care focuses on catching those changes early:
- A thorough exam with time to talk through what you are seeing at home.
- Bloodwork through our in-house lab, with many results the same day.
- Digital X-ray and ultrasound when needed.
- Pain management for arthritis and other chronic conditions.
Dental Cleanings with Full-Mouth X-Rays
Dental disease is one of the most common problems we see in dogs and cats, and much of it sits below the gumline where you can't see it. Every dental cleaning at our clinic includes:
- Full-mouth dental X-rays
- Ultrasonic and hand scaling
- A full-mouth oral exam by our nurses and veterinarian
- Licensed nurse monitoring under anesthesia
Dental cleanings are listed on our pricing page. Extractions, if needed, are priced separately.
